Blender to UFO

It has been growing slowly, bit-by-bit for over a month. Then it has been laying calmly on the disk for three weeks, waiting for its time to come.

Today the time has come.

I bring you this, an experimental script to export a Blender scene as a map for UFO Alien Invasion.

Download, documentation and examples.

Of course I'm quite aware that Blender is not really a mapping tool, nevertheless it can be successfully used as such. And sometimes it may be convenient to use something you already know, or to make use of Blender's vast modelling capabilities.

There are two other Quake exporters, but i believe this one is different from both. The first one, bundled with Blender, exports to the Radiant format and, at the moment at least, ignores texture mapping all together. The second does the texture mapping, however in the QuArK format. And neither can handle UFO specific things of course ;)
